Quinta dos Sobreiros is a traditional Portuguese farmhouse over 200 years old. It
has been extensively modernised in recent years to the comfort standards of today.
Every effort has been taken to retain as many of the old features and ambiance of
the original buildings. The Quinta is set in beautiful, mature semi-tropical gardens,
stocked with palms, an abundance of orange, lemon and grapefruit trees, vines and
flowering shrubs.
We offer two newly developed self-catering cottages which have been built and
furnished to a very high standard, also a three bedroom, unfurnished cottage
availble on long lets.

The Quinta is on the outskirts of the village of Pereiro de Além and is surrounded
on three side’s by forest. Many excellent walks exist in the immediate area. Quinta
dos Sobreiros is noted for its outstanding views. Both the Sierra de Lousa and on
clear days the Sierra de Estrella can be seen. The area is very peaceful and offers a
very tranquil and relaxed stay .The Quinta also has a full sized Boule Allee.
Pereiro de Além is a most interesting traditional village and is only three
kilometres from the town of Vila Nova de Poiares, where most shops can be found.
A number of good restaurants are in the locality. The ancient towns of Coimbra,
Lousa, Penacova and Gois are all within 30 minutes drive. Many sporting activities
are available in the local area including canoing, fishing, hiking, horse riding,
abseiling and river swimming. A local golf course is under construction at Vila Nova
de Poiares. We are only 45 minutes drive to the beaches of the Silver Coast; our
local river beaches are worth visiting and are on some of the cleanest rivers in
Europe
